Jakarta, MobilePhone-Us.com – According to research from Gartner, 25% of people worldwide will spend at least one hour per day on Metaverse for work, shopping, educational, social and/or entertainment reasons, and 30% of organizations worldwide will prepare products and services for the Metaverse by 2026.
Responding to the presence of Metaverse which is projected to become a trend in the future, D-Link stated that it has joined the Metaverse Standards Forum as the first participant from the network equipment industry.
Please note, the Metaverse Standards Forum is a newly created regulatory body whose aim is to promote alignment of priorities and requirements for Metaverse interoperability standards.
Furthermore, the companies and organizations that participate in the basic standard will serve as the foundation for the Open Metaverse.
As a key member, D-Link will coordinate with Standards Developing Organizations (SDOs) from various industries to accelerate the adoption of global standards in the Metaverse world.
Interoperability was one of the key issues in the early stages of the Metaverse industry, and the tech giants hoped the Metaverse Standards Forum would drive the growth and evolution of the Metaverse.
“The metaverse is a place where people from different cultures interact through immersive experiences in virtual worlds. To realize its full potential, Metaverse must be built on open standards with interoperability and consistency to unify multiple domains,” said CJ Chang, CEO of D-Link Corporation.
As a global leader in network and connectivity solutions, continued Chang, D-Link is proud to join the Metaverse Standards Forum in the early stages of its founding.
“We intend to collaborate with partners from many industries to make Metaverse a better experience for everyone through standardization,” he concluded.
